How to Pause Alerts

Manage Your Notifications with Ease

Sometimes, alerts keep coming in even after you've addressed an issue—like recurring notifications about a delivery courier delay. With the pause alerts feature, you can temporarily disable hourly alerts for 12, 24, or 36 hours so you can focus on resolving the problem without being overwhelmed.

How It Works

  • In the Anomaly Summary:
When you open an anomaly, you'll see a pause option near the summary. This lets you pause alerts for specific topics related to that anomaly.

  • Setting the Duration:
You can choose to pause alerts for 12h, 24h, or 3 days, depending on how long you expect the issue to persist.

  • Visual Indication:
Once paused, the alert will appear as "alert paused" both in the anomaly summary and in your alert settings. This makes it easy to see which alerts are currently on hold.

  • Managing Paused Alerts:
In the alert settings, under the name of each alert, you'll find an indication of its pause status. This helps you keep track and resume alerts when the issue is resolved.

  • To unpause, navigate to the anomaly summary and unpause the specific alert from there.

When to Use the Pause Feature

  • Addressing Recurring Issues:
If you’ve identified an issue and are actively working on it, pausing alerts stops the flood of notifications while you fix the problem.

  • Reducing Alert Fatigue:
Temporarily stopping alerts prevents unnecessary distractions, allowing you to focus on more critical tasks.

  • Focused Troubleshooting:
Use pausing to manage alerts for specific topics, ensuring that only unresolved issues continue to notify you.

Once the issue is resolved, simply unpause the alert in your settings to resume normal monitoring. This feature gives you more control over your notifications, helping you manage and prioritize alerts effectively.
